Pylon Digital designs and builds websites in Melbourne for established businesses of every kind, from clinics, trades and retailers to professional firms and startups. Each site is fast on phones, accessible, and written so customers, Google and AI assistants such as ChatGPT understand what you do. You get a fixed fee in writing and a site your team can edit.
Free, 45 minutes, no obligation. You leave with a clear next step, and a written scope and fixed fee follow if you go ahead.

Is it right for you
Who it's for
This service suits established businesses whose site no longer reflects what they do, and startups launching a product. A common trigger: the owner asks Google or ChatGPT about their service and finds competitors instead.
Product and pricing pages, demo requests, a sign-up path and help articles that answer buyers' questions before they ask.

Illustrative examples
What a new site could look like for you
Six common builds, shown with fictional businesses and sample content. Each pairs a typical problem in that sector with what a rebuild changes.
Illustrative example: a fictional clinic, “Example Physio & Health”, with online booking and practitioner profiles.
Example 1 of 6: Illustrative scenario
An allied health clinic that takes bookings online
Before
A physiotherapy clinic lists every treatment on one page, loads slowly on phones and takes every booking by phone.
After the rebuild
Each treatment and practitioner gets its own page, the booking button opens the clinic's existing booking system, and staff update hours and profiles themselves.
Illustrative example with sample products and prices: a fictional store, “Example Goods Co.”, with a catalogue and checkout.
Example 3 of 6: Illustrative scenario
A retailer that sells online as well as in store
Before
A homewares shop sells in store and through social media messages, with no way to order online.
After the rebuild
Products, prices and stock sit in a catalogue staff update, customers pay through a payment gateway, and click and collect orders reach the shop's inbox.
Illustrative examples on mobile with sample prices: a fictional association, software company and education provider.
Example 5 of 6: Illustrative scenario
Memberships, demos and enrolments that work on a phone
Before
An association takes memberships by email and bank transfer, and events live in a newsletter.
After the rebuild
Members join and renew online through a payment gateway, and each event has its own page. The same patterns suit a startup's demo requests or a course enrolment.
A build covers the content, design, build and setup below, scoped to the features your site needs, then documented and handed over so it keeps working for you after launch.
Content written with you
Service, product and location pages that open with a direct answer. We interview you and write them; you check them.
Design around your brand
Templates designed around your logo, colours and photos, and tested on phones first.
Fast, accessible pages
Static HTML that loads quickly on mobile, built and tested by hand to WCAG 2.2 level AA.
A CMS your team can edit
Staff update pages, products, menus and profiles through structured fields that keep the layout intact.
Forms, bookings and payments
Enquiry, quote and booking forms, connected to the booking, payment or CRM tools you already use.
Search, AI and migration setup
Structured data, sitemap, crawler access, Search Console and redirects from every old URL, then a handover session.
Connects to the tools you already use
Enquiry, booking and order forms can go to a shared inbox or, through integrations and custom tools, into the booking, payments, CRM or practice-management system you already use.

Google Business Profile
Google Search Console

Pricing
How pricing works
Every build is a fixed fee, quoted in writing after the free discovery call. The three scopes below are typical starting points, not fixed packages. If the scope changes, we agree the change and its price in writing before doing the work.
Focused site
A business with a handful of services that needs to be found and contacted.
Home, about, a page per service and contact
Enquiry form to your inbox
Google Business Profile details checked
Focused site price: Fixed fee, quoted in writing
Growth site
A business that takes bookings, quotes or enquiries online and wants a page for every service, location or practitioner.
Everything in Focused
Online booking or quote forms
Team or practitioner profiles and articles
One system connection
Growth site price: Fixed fee, quoted in writing
Store or custom build
Online stores, membership and donation sites, and sites connected to several systems.
Product catalogue or member area
Payment gateway and checkout
Integrations scoped in writing
Store or custom build price: Fixed fee, quoted in writing
What changes the fee
How many pages and page templates you need
How much content we write for you
Online booking, a store, donations or memberships
Connections to your CRM, booking or practice-management system
Moving content from an existing site
Running costs, stated up front
Your domain renewal and any paid booking, payment, email or store tools are billed by those providers. Hosting, security and updates after launch sit under a monthly Website Care plan. Every running cost is listed in your proposal before you commit.
The path is fixed and short: a discovery call, a written scope and fixed fee, then content, design and build with your sign-off at each stage.
Step 1
Discovery call
45 minutes, free
We look at your current site, how customers find you and what the site needs to do for them.
Step 2
Scope and fixed fee
Agreed in writing
We agree the pages, features, connections and fee in writing before work starts.
Step 3
Content and design
Set in your proposal
We interview your team, write the pages and design the templates. You approve every page.
Step 4
Build, test and launch
Launch date agreed in writing
We build, add structured data, test speed and accessibility, redirect old URLs and go live.
Step 5
Handover and care
Monthly, ongoing
A handover session and editing guide, then Website Care keeps the site hosted, secure and current.
Ownership
What you get at handover
Your website should belong to your business, not to the people who built it. At handover you get what you need to run it, change it or brief another developer.
Your domain
Your proposal records who holds the domain registration, and we recommend it sits in your business's name.
Content, design and code
Ownership of the content, design and code is set out in your proposal before work starts, so there is no question later.
Administrator access
Administrator logins for the CMS, hosting and domain, so a change never waits on our permission.
Editing guide and handover
A one-page editing guide and a handover session for the people who will update the site.
Redirect map
A record of every old URL and where it now points, so the visibility you have earned carries over.
If you move on
We hand over the files, logins and redirect map. Exit terms and any notice period are set out in your written agreement.
Quality
What we check before launch
Before any site goes live, we work through the same launch checklist. Most of it you can check yourself afterwards with free tools.
Every page passes automated accessibility checks and a manual keyboard test
Core Web Vitals tested on a mid-range phone against Google's “good” thresholds
Structured data validated with zero errors
Every old URL redirected to its new address
Every form tested end to end, including the emails it sends
Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools verified, and the sitemap submitted
What makes a website show up in Google and AI answers?
A website shows up when search and AI crawlers can read it, understand it and trust it. That takes content in the raw HTML, a clear page for each question customers ask, structured data that matches the page, and consistent business details wherever they appear.
Static pages matter because many AI crawlers do not run JavaScript, as Vercel’s 2024 crawler research found. We also build to Google’s Core Web Vitals “good” thresholds: Largest Contentful Paint within 2.5 seconds, Interaction to Next Paint of 200 milliseconds or less and Cumulative Layout Shift of 0.1 or less, at the 75th percentile of page loads.
Whatever your sector, the same rules apply: a page for each service, your hours, location and contact details consistent everywhere, and nothing hidden behind scripts. For professional firms, our law firm website checklist and website essentials for accounting firms list what each page needs.
Security & data residency
Where your data goes, and who can see it
Enquiries, bookings and orders can include personal details, so we build and host your site with the same care as your other business systems. Forms collect only what an enquiry needs, and only people you approve can edit.
HTTPS and security headers
Every page is served over HTTPS with HSTS, plus Content-Security-Policy, Referrer-Policy and Permissions-Policy headers.
Locked-down accounts
Multi-factor authentication on the CMS, hosting, DNS and domain registrar accounts, and a registrar lock on your domain.
Where enquiries go
Sites we host, including form submissions, are stored in fully GDPR-compliant data centres. Our security and data residency page explains how we protect them.
Privacy
Forms ask only for what an enquiry needs and link to your privacy policy. Spam protection avoids intrusive CAPTCHAs.
Pylon Digital was founded by Elias and Peter, who have more than eight years in the IT industry. Your proposal names the people who will work on your site, and you approve every page before it goes live.
We are based in Melbourne and work with businesses across Melbourne and regional Victoria, on site by arrangement or by video, and remotely with businesses elsewhere in Australia.
Every website is a fixed fee, quoted in writing after the free discovery call. The fee depends on the number of pages, how much content we write, and features such as online booking, a store or a CRM connection. You agree the scope and price before work starts. Hosting and care after launch sit under a monthly Website Care plan.
Who owns the website when it is finished?
Ownership of the domain, content, design and code is written into your proposal before work starts, and we recommend the domain sits in your business's name. You get administrator access to the CMS, hosting and domain, plus a redirect map and editing guide, so you can move the site without asking us.
How long does a new website take?
We set the launch date in your proposal after the discovery call. What sets the timeline is how many pages we write, how quickly pages are approved, and any booking, store or system connections. You see draft pages throughout, so launch holds no surprises.
Which CMS do you use? Is it WordPress?
We name the editing tool in your proposal, chosen for how your team works and who will update the site. Pages are published as static HTML, so there are no plugins to patch on the live site, and staff edit through structured fields that keep the layout intact.
Who will actually build our site?
Pylon Digital was founded by Elias and Peter, who have more than eight years in the IT industry. Your proposal names the people who will work on your site and how you reach them, and you approve every page before it goes live, so nothing is published without your sign-off.
What will it cost to run each month?
After launch, hosting, security, updates and small edits sit under a Website Care plan, billed monthly at a level we recommend and confirm in writing. Your domain renewal and any paid booking, payment or email tools are billed by those providers. You can see every running cost in your proposal before you commit.
What do you need from us?
About an hour of interview per service area, your logo and brand files, photos or access to take them, logins for your current site and domain, and one person who can approve pages. We design around your existing brand and write the pages; you check they are accurate.
Can you build an online store?
Yes, for product catalogues and online stores. We connect your products to a payment gateway and an e-commerce platform named in your proposal, and the fixed fee reflects the number of products and how orders reach your team. Staff update products, prices and stock themselves.
Can you get our business to number one on Google?
No one can promise a ranking, and Google says so in its own advice on hiring an SEO. We remove every avoidable reason not to rank: slow pages, vague content, missing structured data and technical errors. Rankings then depend on competition, your reputation and what other sites say about you.
How do we get recommended by ChatGPT and Google's AI answers?
Will we lose our Google rankings when we move to a new site?
Not if the move is planned. Rankings drop when old URLs break, so before launch we map every existing page to its new address with a permanent 301 redirect, then watch Search Console for errors after launch. Some movement in the first weeks is normal, but a planned move protects the visibility you have earned.
Do you only work with businesses in Melbourne?
No. We are based in Melbourne and work with businesses across Melbourne and regional Victoria, meeting on site by arrangement or by video. Businesses elsewhere in Australia can work with us remotely: calls, interviews and page reviews all run over video. The areas we serve page lists each region.
Secure by design. Set up correctly. Fully managed.
